Callback/Call Return *69 adds:

Convenience
_ With Automatic Callback service, you don't have to rush to the
telephone if you are busy or not near a telephone.
This service lets you easily return the call you missed.
Ø
Less
interruptions _ If you are on another call, you can take care of
your current business and then use Automatic Callback to get back to
the caller when you are free.
Ø
Won't
miss important calls _No need to feel like a prisoner to your telephone
waiting for an important call. If
you get a call while you're out, Automatic Callback lets you return
the last call made to your number.
Ø
Save
time
_ If you want to talk with someone who just called you, there is no
need to look up and dial their telephone number. Just use Automatic Callback service to call them back.
Customers with either touchtone or
rotary service can subscribe to Automatic Callback. Automatic
Callback service must be activated before receiving another incoming
call. There is no time
limit for using Automatic Callback service to return the last
incoming call. You can activate Automatic Callback service after
placing outgoing call(s). Automatic Callback service will attempt to
recall a busy number for 15 to 45 minutes (actual time will vary).
If Automatic Callback is used to return a long distance call, long
distance charges will apply to the customer who uses Automatic
Callback. Automatic Callback works well with Call Waiting.
If you are unable to answer a Call Waiting call, you can
activate Automatic Callback to return the most recent call after
hanging up from the original call.
Speed Calling codes can be used to
activate or deactivate Automatic Callback service.
How to Activate Level 1
Automatic Callback/Call Return:
1.
Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
2.
Dial the Automatic Callback access code, *69 (1169
on a rotary dial telephone).
3.
Listen for a voice announcement which verifies that the
service is active.
4.
If the line you are calling back is available, you will hear
ringing to let you know that your call is being connected.
<Or>
If the line is busy:
Hang up the receiver. Automatic
Callback service will try to recall the number for 15-45 minutes
(actual length of time will vary).
You will hear a distinctive ringing pattern when both your line
and the other line are available.
If you are unavailable when the other line is free, the
distinctive ringing pattern will alert you a minimum of two (2) and
a maximum of seven (7) times (actual number of alerts will vary).
Lift the receiver and listen for ringing.
Level 2 Activation Procedures:
1.
Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
2.
Dial the Automatic Callback access code, *69 (1169
on a rotary dial
telephone).
3.
Listen for a voice announcement which verifies that the
service is active and states the telephone number of the last party that called, as well as the date and
time of the call.
4.
Dial 1 to return the call.
<Or>
Hang up the receiver if you decide
not to return the call (at any time during the instructions).
5.
If the line you are calling back is available, you will hear
ringing to let you know that your call is being connected.
<Or>
If the line is busy: Listen for a
voice announcement stating that the service has been activated.
Hang up the receiver. Automatic
Callback service will try to recall the number for 15-45 minutes
(actual length of time will vary). When both lines are free you will
hear a distinctive ringing pattern to let you know the line is
available. If you are unavailable when the other line is free, the
distinctive ringing pattern will alert you a minimum of two (2) and
a maximum of seven (7) times (actual amounts will vary) Lift the
receiver and listen for ringing on the line you are calling back.
6.
Hang up the receiver.
If the number you are calling back
is busy, you can cancel the Automatic Callback request.

3.
Listen for a voice announcement stating that the service has
been deactivated.
4.
Hang up the receiver.
