Automatic Recall/Repeat Dialing *66:

Automatic Recall/Repeat Dialing *66 gives you:

Ø      Time management _ This service lets you make better use of your time, since you can attend to other activities while Automatic Recall service "retries" busy lines.

Ø      Convenience _ Automatic Recall service makes it easy to reach people when their line is busy.  You don't have to redial or remember the number.

Customers with either touchtone or rotary service can subscribe to Automatic Recall. This service "remembers" the number to be redialed and is not dependent on a specific telephone. Telephones with built-in redial key only store the number in the telephone which was used for dialing the number. Automatic Recall service will attempt to recall a busy number for 15-45 minutes (actual time will vary).

You can use Automatic Recall for more than one busy number at a time.  You will hear a special ring when one of these numbers becomes idle; however, you will not be able to identify which called line is now free. If an Automatic Recall customer tries to recall a line with Call Forwarding Variable, Selective Call Forwarding, or Selective Call Acceptance (with the Call Forward option you will hear a voice announcement. Speed Calling codes can be used to activate or deactivate Automatic Recall service.

How to Activate Automatic Recall/Repeat Dialing *66:

1.  Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.

2.  Dial the Automatic Recall access code, *66 (1166 on a rotary dial telephone).

3.  If the line is idle, it will begin ringing immediately.

4.  If the line is busy:

     ·  Listen for a voice announcement stating that the number is busy.

     ·  Hang up the receiver.

Automatic Recall service will try to redial the number for 15-45 minutes (actual length of time will vary). You will hear a distinctive ringing pattern when both your line and the other line are available. Lift the receiver and listen for ringing. If the number you are redialing is busy, you can cancel the Automatic Recall request.

1.  Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.

2.  Dial the Automatic Recall deactivation code, *86 (1186 on a rotary dial telephone).

3.  Listen for a voice announcement stating that the service has been deactivated.

4.  Hang up the receiver.
