The Georgetown Library Community Broadband Center had its official opening ceremonies on March 10th. The center is located in the Robert W. Windom Jr./Georgetown Library. The Broadband Center features ten state-of-the-art computers with Digital Subscriber Lines (DSL) connected to the internet. DSL allows data to move over phone lines at a much faster rate than regular dial-up connections. These computers are there for the public's use, free of charge. The center has permanent staffing.
